At the end of June we welcomed our new curate, Lydia Avery, into our team. Lydia was ordained in Wells Cathedral on the 29th June and has been working around the parishes since then. Many of you will already have met her. You can read her first contribution to Roundabout in the August posting.
Lydia and her family previously lived in Congresbury, and, as part of her move to this group she walked from Congresbury with some friends, ending up at Croscombe. She was met on the way, at Wells, by David, the Vicar, and other members of the churches here. She joins a tradition of walking clergy in this group - will she take to cycling is the next question.
Lydia brings new experience and ideas to the ministry here and is looking forward to sharing with us. We are looking forward to learning from, and sharing with, Lydia.
